June 12, 2021 was the 40th Anniversary of the film Raiders of the Lost Ark. This blockbuster action-adventure movie introduced us to the character of Indiana Jones. His iconic leather jacket, fedora & bullwhip launched a franchise that spawned four movies. A fifth movie is slated to be released in 2022. As well a TV series, video games, theme park attractions, and more have been created. The movie was both a commercial & critical success. In fact it was the highest grossing movie of 1981 and is now considered to be one of the greatest movies ever made. Its pop culture impact cannot be overstated.
