History of the G-1:
The “G-1” military flight jacket is the commonly accepted name for the fur-lined-collar World War II-era flight jacket. From the beginning, aviators chose leather for its warmth, durability, and good looks. Made famous by the AVG in China, and Hellcat pilots over the Pacific during WWII! A USN and USMC leather flight jacket, worn with pride by our Phantom crews during Vietnam. The G-1 remains a current issue jacket for officer and enlisted aviation personnel on flying status in the U.S. Navy, U.S. Marine Corps and U.S. Coast Guard. This jacket is worn by the daring men and women of the USCG that risk their lives daily to save others in harms way.

I absolutely love this jacket. This is a replacement for my beloved B-15 I had in college that was sadly lost in a move. The fur collar is really smart, the leather is supple and smells amazing. Overall amazing quality for the price point. It looks amazing with my Oakley Feedback sunglasses! Also got some extra goodies in the box with my order.
Do order a size up from your regular t-shirt/jacket size, as the torso tapers quite a bit. This bomber also fits shorter than most bomber-style jackets I’ve had, so if you have even a bit of a long torso like me, and are unsure, go for the long option. After getting the long version, the fit is much better for me.
Will recommend US Wings for all genuine aviation jacket needs!

It arrived today after being ordered Saturday. Not bad. Found a coupon for free shipping, saved $20 or so.
The jacket is great, and it is absolutely bang on to order one size up. I always wear an XL, and I did well to order the XXL. Fits perfectly.
I am not sure the collar is actual shearling. Seems more like faux fur.
Still, a great jacket for the price. Love it.

I received my jacket today and I absolutely love it! It is beautiful and well made. It is a perfect fit for me. I am 5’11” 175lbs and I bought Size L. The jacket is comfortable. I would absolutely buy more jacket from US Wings in the future.

A fantastic G-1 jacket, received by mail. The construction quality is good, light weight goat skin. One thing I notice is it fit smartly on my shoulder and torso, and I could put up both of my arms without pulling up the jacket. Lots of arm movement too, without disrupting the rest of jacket.
