A US Wings Exclusive! Our Handpainted US Wings Cooper Original Cape Buffalo Top Gun “Dust Devils” G-1 Jacket is a new twist on the jacket seen in the upcoming Top Gun: Maverick movie. We’ve taken the four patches seen on Maverick’s CWU jacket along with an exclusive handpainted “Dust Devils” artwork (optional) and placed them on our vintage Cape Buffalo G-1 to give it that authentic antique “100 Mission” look & feel of a G-1 from the 1950s and ’60s.
The jacket features a vintage-style fur collar, a bi-swing back for freedom of movement, two front cargo pockets, inside pocket, USN perforation through the windflap, and a silky satin nylon lining. We then upgrade it to “Top Gun” status by adding authentic patches as seen in the upcoming Top Gun: Maverick movie (the Air Test and Evaluation Squadron VX-31 “Dust Devils” patch on the right chest, a embossed leather Top Gun nameplate on the left chest, the USN Fighter Weapons School patch on the right sleeve, and the US Flag on the left sleeve). The back of the jacket features our “Dust Devils” artwork, custom handpainted by our resident jacket artist Jim Harley.
