After the controversy of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial, “The Wall”, the Three Servicemen Statue was created. Construction of the statue was to complement the Memorial. Unveiled in 1984, the statue symbolizes, in a more traditional manner, the spirit and heroism that many veterans thought was lacking in the design of The Wall. The soldiers are wearing the uniform and carrying the weapons of the Vietnam War era. The three servicemen statue embodies heroism, strength, and vulnerability. It also displays the “thousand yard stare” of combat soldiers. A great gift or to frame in your own home. Add this piece of history to your collection. A US Wings exclusive!
